Raife's Coffee And Artisan Bakery in West Wickham is the kind of café where the morning rhythm feels easy and familiar. Nestled on Red Lodge Road, it draws in local residents and visitors looking for a reliable spot to start their day with solid coffee and thoughtful breakfast options. The space itself is inviting without trying too hard—moderate in size, with a warm ambience that encourages lingering over brunch or a weekend catch-up.

It’s the kind of place that suits both solo visitors grabbing a well-made mocha or latte, and small groups settling in for a casual breakfast. The menu highlights such as avocado toast, eggs benedict, burrata, and a full English breakfast suggest a focus on fresh, comforting dishes rather than anything too fussy. Patrons appreciate the balance of good value and quality, with breakfast combos and juices rounding out a satisfying morning plate. Portions feel just right for a weekend treat, although some have noted the sourdough toast portions could be a tad bigger if you’re particularly hungry.

The service plays a big part in the café’s local appeal. Visitors often mention the friendly, welcoming staff who manage to maintain a warm and upbeat vibe, making the experience more personal in this smaller spot where the team clearly knows regulars on sight. Despite the café’s coziness, it tends to get busy during peak times but still manages to accommodate new arrivals with some flexibility.

Raife's matches well with those looking for a laid-back but attentive spot to enjoy brunch or a solid coffee ritual, especially in the morning or early afternoon. Given its local standing and approachable menu, it's less a destination for formal dining and more a place to pause and enjoy good food without fuss. Whether you're popping in for a weekday pick-me-up or settling down for a weekend brunch with friends, this café blends dependable quality with a genuine neighborhood feel.

Very welcoming waiter and truly a credit to the business. Warm ambience. Food was tasty, the price point is as follows, 2 classic breakfasts ( 2 sausages, streaky bacon, tomatoes , 2 poached egg, mushroom, sour dough toast and beans) , orange juice and Mocha totalled to £32. My constructive criticism is to add an additional sour dough toast as the ones provide are small.

Super good and healthy food, the staff is absolutely great. I had the Mediterranean breakfast and the chicken salad and it was delicious. Great balance of flavour between the balsamic glaze and the grilled halumi, the crunchy salad and the creamy avocado... They also do great coffee so in my books that's a winner.

This is my favourite place to eat and drink when I visit West Wickham. Very accommodating staff who really cannot do enough for you. Good food and always happy to adapt the menu if required. Also a very friendly and relaxed environment.

If you want the ordinary poached egg on sourdough that is rolled out in every so called artisan bistro then this is not for you. Raifs serves up all the popular dishes and some more interesting ones with an extra level of flavour. weather its a breakfast or just a coffee I have never been disappointed. If you are lucky enough to get there on a sunny day when they have the tables out you can enjoy an al fresco meal and feel as though you are abroad.
